Our take

The Chill Tubs Halo with Chiller is a premium stainless steel system sold in the UK at £14,999.

Key specifications: Fibreglass circular shell construction, a built-in chiller, a minimum water temperature of 3C.

We have not tested this unit ourselves; the take below is built from the maker's specifications, the UK price and what owners report.

What to buy with it

  • The chiller is the running cost; a plug-in meter shows what it draws in your garden, not in the brochure. MECHEER plug-in energy monitor (£11.88 at Amazon UK, 4.5 stars from 5,400 ratings)
  • The rim of a tub like this sits high, and after a few minutes at 5C your feet are numb; a non-slip step is a safety item. Crystals anti-slip bath step (£13.97 at Amazon UK, 4.6 stars from 578 ratings)
  • Chill Tubs lists no filtration, so the water still needs a sanitiser between changes. Bio Ouster 3-in-1 weekly cold plunge treatment (£48.86 at Amazon UK, 4.5 stars from 543 ratings)

Notes from the manufacturer page: Commercial: Halo shell, 1,000 L balance tank and dedicated Halo chiller. Withdrawn: all three Halo product pages on chilltubs.com redirect to the Chill Tubs Pro and the shop no longer lists the Halo range (checked 2026-09-26). Kept as a reference page. Specifications verified 2026-09-08.

Cold water immersion places real stress on the heart and circulation. Anyone with a cardiovascular condition, high blood pressure, a history of arrhythmia, or who is pregnant should speak to a doctor before using a cold plunge. Never plunge alone. Start with short sessions at mild temperatures and progress gradually. Read the full safety guide.
