Our take

The Steam & Oak Halla Cube with Chiller is a tub plus chiller bundle sold in the UK at £5,250.

Key specifications: 470 litre capacity, Black thermowood cladding construction, a built-in chiller.

The warranty is 2 years.

Its UK price has held steady across the 5 checks in our price history.

We have not tested this unit ourselves; the take below is built from the maker's specifications, the UK price and what owners report.

What to buy with it

  • The chiller is the running cost; a plug-in meter shows what it draws in your garden, not in the brochure. MECHEER plug-in energy monitor (£11.88 at Amazon UK, 4.5 stars from 5,400 ratings)
  • Steam & Oak lists a filter but no ozone or UV, so the water still needs a sanitiser between changes. Bio Ouster 3-in-1 weekly cold plunge treatment (£48.86 at Amazon UK, 4.5 stars from 543 ratings)
  • The display tells you the temperature at the chiller's inlet. A thermometer floating in the tub tells you what you are actually sitting in. Intex floating pool thermometer (£7.49 at Amazon UK, 4.4 stars from 4,444 ratings)

Notes from the manufacturer page: Chiller and filter included, holds set temperature year-round; chiller spec (HP, min temp) not published on page Specifications verified 2026-09-08.

Cold water immersion places real stress on the heart and circulation. Anyone with a cardiovascular condition, high blood pressure, a history of arrhythmia, or who is pregnant should speak to a doctor before using a cold plunge. Never plunge alone. Start with short sessions at mild temperatures and progress gradually. Read the full safety guide.
