Our take

The Kove Duo Oval Cedar Ice Bath is a tub (add your own chiller) sold in the UK at £2,499 (RRP £2,999).

Key specifications: roughly 820 litres of water by our estimate from its stated dimensions (the maker does not publish a capacity), Cedar exterior, 304 stainless steel liner construction, no chiller included.

The warranty is 2 years.

Its UK price has held steady across the 5 checks in our price history.

We have not tested this unit ourselves; the take below is built from the maker's specifications, the UK price and what owners report.

What to buy with it

  • This is a tub only, so from May to September it means buying ice or adding a chiller. Kove's own chiller is the Core 0.5HP Chiller (£599), which cools to 3C and states 1,200 W of cooling; check with Kove that it suits this tub before you order. Kove Core 0.5HP Chiller
  • Kove lists no filtration for this tub, so keeping the water clean between changes is down to you. Bio Ouster 3-in-1 weekly cold plunge treatment (£48.86 at Amazon UK, 4.5 stars from 543 ratings)
  • Nothing on this tub reads the water temperature, so a floating pool thermometer does the job for a few pounds. Intex floating pool thermometer (£7.49 at Amazon UK, 4.4 stars from 4,444 ratings)

Cold water immersion places real stress on the heart and circulation. Anyone with a cardiovascular condition, high blood pressure, a history of arrhythmia, or who is pregnant should speak to a doctor before using a cold plunge. Never plunge alone.
